Get behind CSM and show your support for accessible music education!

  Ways to donate
  • To make a general donation, please visit https://csm.org.nz/index.php/support-and-donate/

  • Become a CYO Chair Patron. Join a community of likeminded people who support music education! Associate your name with a principal chair or an entire instrument section. Chair patronage is for a minimum of one calendar year and is both renewable and transferable.

  • CYO-specific donations: Contact us at 03 366 1711 or development@csm.org.nz to kōrero if you wish to make a gift to support CSM’s CYO activity only. We want to make sure we can honour your intentions and ensure your gift has the biggest impact where you want it to.
All donations of $5 or more are tax deductible and are acknowledged with a receipt.

Why do we need your support? CSM is a registered charity. Every year, it costs over $700,000 to deliver CSM’s inspiring music education programmes. While lesson and ensemble fees, instrument hires, and concert ticket sales cover only about 70% of this cost, we are committed to keeping music education affordable and accessible to everyone. The remaining funding gap is bridged through the generous support of funders and donors – like our annual CYO Chair Patrons. Your support helps to ensure that all CSM programmes can be within reach for the wider Ōtautahi Christchurch community.
